The Bullsh*t Stops Here Posted Wednesday, May 19, 2004 by PerversePolisher
Right you lot, Big CC Racing have graciously agreed to let us have our very own OLDSKOOL SUZUKI HORSEPOWER SHOOTOUT!
Be there on the 18th of September and let your bike get tested for a mere £5 - got to be worth it. Meet up with other OldSkoolers, have a plate of chips in the cafe next door, and spend vast amounts of money on tuning goodies with Sean and his crew.

Naked Racing Project at Lydden Hill Posted Tuesday, May 18, 2004 by PerversePolisher
The OldSkoolSUZUKI go-faster stickers are working better than ever! Matt Bond (Bondy_63) managed some incredible results over the weekend, and has even written us a very full race report from his perspective.

Kevin Carmichael OldSkoolSUZUKI.info-only StuntSkool anyone? Posted Monday, May 17, 2004 by Mr.7/11
Our friend Jon Tober from Maxx-Events is organising two stuntschool days on the 2nd and 3rd of June in Utrecht, and nobody else but Kevin Carmichael is standing in front of the classroom teaching everyone how to wheelie and stoppie like a pro. Just a few places are still available for those two days, but because we've got such a good relation with Maxx-Events Jon is willing to arrange a separate OldSkoolSUZUKI.info StuntSkool later in the year!
We need at 8 entries for it to go trough.
Costs per person is €159 (haven't tried to haggle yet ;) for a full day including lunch.
You can count me in! :-)

TRIKbodywork Katana tank Posted Friday, May 14, 2004 by Mr.7/11
Another piece of my Katana.project bike arrived today...
The instruction-leaflet went like this...
When you recieve the tank, stand it outside in the sun & have a good look at it, then you'l make more sense of how its done..
This is a v/short description of how its done;
One coat of black gelcoat onto tank, left to set.
One layer of carbon layed (dry) on tank & shaped around tank with a small brush dabbing resin in/on & stretching the carbon round the tank then rolled out with small steel roller, left the set/cure.
One layer of clear resin brushed onto tank all over carbon, left to set/cure.
Excess carbon trimmed off overhang on bottom, then whole tank wet'n'dryed flat with 240 grit (makes your fingers bleed).
One layer of red resin brushed all over, left to set/cure then wet'n'dryed flat (240 grade) leavin area's of red randomly.
One layer of clear resin brushed all over tank, left to set/cure.
Wet'n'dry (1000 grade) all over till smooth, then compound/t-cut & mirror glaze (very fine cut compound.
Finished.
The red sits maybe half to 1mm above the carbon & maybe 1mm under the surface & if i get it right (like on the tank) it looks like its kinda floating below the surface, messes your eyes up tryin to focus on it...
Makes you speechless doesn't it?
One proud bastard! Posted Wednesday, May 12, 2004 by Mr.7/11
In the last year my SevenEleven has steadily been given the TRIKbodywork makeover, with a new seat unit, rear hugger and fairing, and I'm dead chuffed with the result! Thanks to John "Triky" Betts for all the work he has put into my bike, he really is a master in his craft!
...and to think the Katana-bodywork is going to be even better!

On June 6th I'm taking you all from the roots of oldskoolsuzuki.info to my own roots!
We're going to meet up at the Groenoordhallen in Leiden, and from there we'll ride to the Boulevard of Scheveningen, where we'll make our own small party on the beach!
Like in the spirit of the old KicXstart streetfighterhow... just turn up with some real enthusiasts, and it will be great by itself!
More info will me made available here...

The Ultimate "Go-Faster" goodie! Posted Tuesday, May 4, 2004 by PerversePolisher
IT'S OFFICIAL! OldSkoolSUZUKI stickers do make you go faster. The Naked Racing Project (http://www.nakedracingproject.com) put them on their bikes and Wingnut's team-mate, Matt, achieved 3 third places over the weekend at Snetterton. Wingnut had some hard racing and got consistent high 20's over the weekends races too!
