Exhaust and
Nitrous Bottle Hangers
One of things that I feel makes a nice bike is symmetry (eg. matching reservoirs for
brake and clutch). So when I decided that I wanted to mount the nitrous bottle where
the left pillion peg used to reside, it made sense to have matching brackets on each
side of the bike as the right footpeg hanger was used to support the exhaust.
A mate of Rich's
made these brackets up for me. Darrin, who has access to Hutton Engineering's workshop
did the job in his sparetime, using just the right-side pillion footpeg for a basis.
He checked all the dimensions of the mounting points and made up a jig to get the
hanger located exactly right.
On the exhaust side they actually pressed out the original rubber mount and used that
as part of the bracket and on the other side for the nitrous bottle they simply left me
with a 6mm diameter hole that the bottle bracket could be bolted into.
I think the results are pretty damned impressive.
